Here at Willoughcraft Drums, we want to help you build the kit of your dreams. All sizes are available and numerous ply types and layouts can be chosen. High quality handmade birch lacquered shells are a favorite as well as Keller Maple, Mahogany and Birch. Stave shells in such exotic woods as bubinga, mahogany, zebrawood and rosewood are also available. We can build you any size drum you could possibly imagine.

Shell thickness, ply layout, reinforcement rings & bearing edges are some factors to figure in when determining how to get the sound out of the drums that you are looking for.

Laminate wrap drums, as seen here in green sparkle were made popular in the 50's and 60's by all major drum manufacturers, including Gretsch, Ludwig, Slingerland, Premier and Camco. Wrapping drums in a laminate finish offers a near endless array of finish possibilities and is a much more durable finish option than lacquer or oil finishes and is a popular choice especially for the touring drummer.

We at Willoughcraft drums have created a proprietary oil finish that does not use any petroleum based products. All ingredients come from renewable resources and pose no threat to the environment and still look great while protecting the drum shells.
