historical drum facts:
  • Slingerland Radio King Solid shells were made of solid 1 ply
    maple shells with reinforcement rings (similar to above
    picture)
  • Camco and Rogers 1960's shells were made from maple ply
    shells
  • In the early part of the 20th century, Ludwig and Leedy also
    produced solid 1 ply maple snare drums
